ESL Teacher
About the role
EF Language Abroad is recruiting ESL teachers for its Tarrytown, New York campus. Immediate openings are available, and additional positions will open for the 2027 Winter Term beginning in early January. The school offers a variety of teaching schedules—including mornings, afternoons, and partial‑week arrangements—and provides all necessary resources and curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Teach scheduled contact hours as assigned by Academic Management.
- Deliver high‑quality classes using EF’s blended learning program.
- Complete required administrative work for classes promptly.
- Prepare class materials such as handouts, quizzes, tests, and assignments as needed.
- Assist students with queries and coordinate with appropriate departments.
- Actively participate in teacher meetings and all staff development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- TEFL certificate (CELTA or equivalent preferred).
- Proficient English (C2 level).
- Experience with standardized ESL exams (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge) is a plus.

Pay
Contact Hours: $21 – $24.00 per hour
Administrative Hours: $18.45 per hour
