About the Role
This position involves monitoring and maintaining the complex Extended Shelf Life (ESL) system to ensure all critical values are met, processing fluid products in a hygienic environment, and preparing them for packaging.
Responsibilities
- Adjust steam pressures, water flows, and instrumentation as needed to meet critical values.
- Process fluid products at high temperatures in a tightly controlled, hygienic environment.
- Accurately blend raw materials in batch tanks using recipes before processing.
- Pull and test product samples for accuracy.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot CIP systems, COP systems, and sterilization activities of processing equipment.
- Clean equipment and maintain a sanitary work environment.
- Clean, sterilize, and operate ESL/UHT and associated equipment, including homogenizers, tanks, CIP systems, sterile air systems, sterile lines, and valves.
- Reassemble equipment after cleaning, ensuring it is safe and sterile.
- Ensure food safety and quality by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Accurately record daily production data and regulatory information, verifying they are within established control limits.
- Maintain a sterile environment by performing advanced repairs, preventative maintenance, and major mechanical adjustments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Ability to obtain a license and operate a forklift.
- Must demonstrate safe working habits.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to learn and perform all positions.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have good human relations skills (ability to work well with others and be a team player).
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must have basic mechanical skills.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
