This is a grant-funded program providing free instruction and practice in English Language skills for students aged 16 and older.
Qualifications
- NJ State Licensed Teacher in academic area at elementary or secondary level
- Teaching experience required; ESL teaching experience preferred
- Comfortable and willing to utilize technology in the classroom
Terms of Employment
- Availability for the duration of the program from September to June
- Option #1: Saturday morning assignment from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Option #2: Evening assignment two nights per week 5:30 to 9 pm
Multiple Positions Available
- Sites include MCST- Denville Campus and Morristown High School
Responsibilities
- Develop and facilitate lessons that incorporate reading, listening and speaking activities
- Develop and facilitate lessons that incorporate community, civics and employment topics
- Strict attention is given to attendance and student outcomes
