About the role

The Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School provides specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring Student Support Plans, providing direct instruction, collaborating with general education teachers, and participating in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Student Support Plans for assigned students.
• Provide direct instruction utilizing evidence-based practices and differentiated teaching strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress, services, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct progress monitoring and communicate student growth to parents and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to provide accommodations and instructional support.
• Participate in Student Support meetings and eligibility meetings.
• Manage and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Utilize data to inform instruction and support student achievement.
• Cookordinate with related service providers, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and psychologists.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Educator Certificate with ESE certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of Section 504 and Florida ESE regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies.
• Level II background clearance and Safe Environment training.
