About the Role
As an escrow officer, you’re the human link between our process and people. You’re there at the beginning, reviewing contracts and following instructions. You ensure all associated paperwork is completed efficiently and accurately, working with agents and their clients to keep the process moving forward. You verify titles are clean, taxes are paid, and loans are funded. Finally, you assure that no funds or property will change hands until all terms have been carried to completion.

- Problem solver, using industry knowledge to identify potential issues, fix them, and avoid unnecessary delays.

- People reader, adapting to agents’ or homebuyers’ personalities and moods to make them feel comfortable, even when delivering bad news.
- Multi-tasker, highly organized, able to manage a large number of contracts with numerous agents, buyers, and sellers simultaneously under deadline pressure.
Responsibilities
- Know the intricacies of the contract from beginning to end, ensuring it is closed in a timely, efficient, and error-free manner.
- Verify all paperwork is complete so escrow closes on time and correctly.
- Work with lenders and underwriters to ensure all details are addressed to fund and complete transactions.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry players—agents, attorneys, lenders, surveyors, and government agencies—to smoothly manage transactions.
- Reach out to new agents, earn their trust, and create opportunities to market our business while retaining agents through white-glove service.
- Train escrow assistants, delegate tasks, audit work, and provide direction to open advancement opportunities.
- Be present at closing to make it a positive, memorable experience for agents and buyers.
Qualifications
What you must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent; continuing education courses as required.
- Two to three years of escrow experience, both front- and back-end.
- Notary public and escrow officer licenses.
- Technical knowledge of the closing process.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to keep all parties updated and resolve issues.
