About the role
Tri Pointe Assurance Escrow, the California title and escrow affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is seeking an experienced Escrow Closer to join our team. This role involves pre-working files and managing Closing Disclosure (CD) draft requests through a centralized work queue, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across a multi-state organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Closing Disclosure (CD) and Settlement Statement (SS) for multiple states as needed.
- Monitor the Closings email inbox for new CD requests and updates from Lenders.
- Maintain and adjust calendars for files requiring pre-work, including updates based on confirmed dates.
- Adjust prorations for taxes, HOAs, and other miscellaneous items once a closing date is confirmed.
- Modify CD and SS numbers according to instructions from parties, Lenders, and Escrow Officers.
- Balance funding amounts with Lenders and verify Buyer’s cash to close.
- Track conversations between Lenders and closing specialists to note potential changes.
- Perform additional processing duties, such as opening contracts, requesting title commitments, communicating with closing coordinators, quoting initial fees, emailing title commitments, fulfilling full title requests, redirecting emails, ordering HOA statements, and uploading documents to work queues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience as an Escrow Officer or Closer.
- Understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and title software applications.
- Effective communication, presentation, and organization skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a multi-state department.
- Ability to type 40+ words per minute (WPM).
Pay
The expected base salary range for this position is $29.62 to $34.66 per hour ($61,600.00–$72,100.00 per year), depending on experience and skillset. Base salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday.
This position is eligible for an annual performance-based cash bonus, calculated and paid according to the Company’s incentive plan.
