As an Escrow Assistant, you will perform administrative tasks, maintain documentation, and manage communication with clients and stakeholders in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Escrow Officer in managing transactions, including opening and closing escrow accounts, preparing documents, and processing payments.
- Communicate with title insurance representatives, insurance company representatives, loan officers, escrow processors, team members, title companies, real estate agents, and clients to facilitate the closing process.
- Review and audit all closing documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Input, access, and retrieve data relevant to closings in a timely and accurate manner.
- Read all contracts, commitments, and lender closing instructions to complete them promptly and ensure escrow closing.
- Maintain proper accounting procedures for depositing and removing earnest money funds and final disbursement from the escrow account.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties for the escrow officer to complete escrow transactions and necessary follow-up requests.
- Prepare closing documents such as settlement statements, escrow files, and closing statements.
- Coordinate pre-closing and post-closing responsibilities as directed.
- Manage customer queries and communicate with clients, borrowers, and lenders to ensure smooth and timely transactions.
- Upload all necessary documents into document retention software and complete all required information.
- Maintain records and ensure all documentation is properly filed and archived.
- Perform various administrative duties as needed to support the Escrow Officer.
- Other job duties as required.
