Responsibilities

  • Assist Escrow Officers as required
  • Prepare preliminary CDs for lenders
  • Submit title commitments, tax certs, HOA documents, CPLs, preliminary CDs, and other required documentation to the lender
  • Scan, upload, and organize documents in compliance with company and Texas Department of Insurance (“TDI”) regulations
  • Verify accuracy of basic information such as names, addresses, and property details
  • Provide status updates to clients and agents as required
  • Ensure tax statement is current and, in the file
  • Review Schedule B&C items and identify issues requiring Escrow Officer attention
  • Review survey and send copy to underwriter for approval
  • Request payoffs for buyer as necessary
  • Request bring-to-dates as needed
  • Absorb and assist in post-closing duties as needed
  • Phone duty as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of all clients and transaction information
  • Follow company policies and TDI guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing training on escrow processes and company procedure
  • Maintain Notary Public commission in good standing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Experience Qualifications: 1-3 years’ service with Green Brick Title, or similar experience with another title company. Proficient with Qualia. Escrow License required for regulatory compliance with transaction functions. Notary Public, required.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry, particularly related to single family development and lot takedowns
  • High level understanding title exceptions and curative actions
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Team player
  • Organization skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
