About the Role
The Environmental Services Assistant in Emergency Services plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and clean environment within the non-durable goods manufacturing sector. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas are compliant with health and safety regulations, particularly during emergency situations. The assistant will work closely with emergency response teams to facilitate quick and effective clean-up operations, minimizing risks to personnel and the environment. Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience in environmental services or a related field.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Certification in hazardous materials handling (preferred).
Experience working in emergency response or disaster recovery (preferred).
First aid and CPR certification (preferred).
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address cleanliness and safety issues.
Assist in emergency response efforts by providing support in clean-up and decontamination processes.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available.
