ES Application Sr. Technician

About the role

As a CBRE ES Application Sr. Tech, you will create control databases, graphic screens, and the set-up of complex control systems based on project specifications and sale proposals. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Program control applications using various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC field panels, and third-party integration devices.
• Conduct job site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Verify proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.
• Deliver on-site customer operator training on the use of the installed system.
• Perform system evaluation and diagnostics, identifying corrective action to restore systems to proper operating conditions.
• Perform final walkthrough with owner and construction manager to ensure all punch list items are complete and job receives sign-off of substantial completion.
• Apply knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of your own work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
