ERP Application Developer

Position Overview

Harris County Universal Services is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Developer to support ERP systems, including upgrades and project migrations. The role involves developing and maintaining PeopleSoft applications, collaborating with users, and serving as a technical resource.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains PeopleSoft applications, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, ongoing maintenance, and the resolution of system issues
• Codes and unit tests complex projects
• Participates in the technical design and coding of interfaces, data conversions, reports, and customizations providing the required functionality not supplied by the ERP package
• Collaborates with internal users, staff members, and information technology colleagues to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces while assessing value in modification to delivered software versus building new functionality
• Serves as a lead technical resource on projects
• Coordinates directly with the functional lead and customer to ensure high levels of satisfaction and maintenance

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field
• Experience: 8+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Financials or PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and above
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: PeopleTools 8.55 or above, Application Engines, Application Packages, SQL's, and PeopleCode, Integration Broker, Fluid pages, dashboards, activity guides, event mapping, drop zones, page field configuration, page composer, work centers, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Excellent problem-solving skills, Excellent ability to organize information, manage tasks and use available tools to effectively contribute to an organization, Excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferences

• PeopleSoft Approval Framework experience
• Experience with Oracle databases
• In-depth understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and application suite
