Erosion Control Foreman

About the role

The Erosion Control Foreman supervises field operations of an erosion control crew to prevent soil erosion and protect water quality. They will also engage in the trade work performed by the crew.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in installing and maintaining sediment barriers
• Directly supervises grading crew, reporting to Superintendent
• Operates and supervises the operation of heavy equipment on project sites
• Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications
• Provides reports on time and materials
• Ensures all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Uses heavy equipment and supervises its use by others
• Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, and shift changes

Requirements

• Experience operating relevant heavy equipment
• 5+ years of NCDOT, commercial, and/or residential grading experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs
