Eros & Thanatos, National Juried Exhibition

Buckham Gallery invites artists to enter Eros & Thanatos, a national juried exhibition exploring the Greek concepts of love (Eros) and death (Thanatos). All styles, media, and interpretations are welcome.

About the Gallery

Founded in 1984, Buckham Fine Arts Project | Buckham Gallery is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting artists, building community, and challenging audiences to engage with contemporary art in new ways.

Exhibition Details

• Exhibition dates: January 17 – February 15, 2025 at Buckham Gallery, Flint, MI
• Artists must be 18+ and U.S. residents
• Each artist may submit 1–3 original works (2D or 3D, no reproductions)
• All selected artists receive a $50 shipping stipend (except Buckham Arts Collective members)
• Notification of acceptance by December 20, 2024

Submission Guidelines

• Deadline: November 20, 2024 (closed)
• Entry fee: $25 (nonrefundable, covers up to 3 works; fee waived for Buckham Arts Collective members)
• Submissions must be made via Buckham Gallery’s online form

Artwork Logistics

• Selected works must be received between January 8–11, 2025
• Artists are responsible for all packing, shipping, and return arrangements (or in-person drop-off/pickup)
• Stipend checks mailed upon receipt of artwork in good condition

Sales & Commission

• Artwork may be for sale (not required)
• Artists set retail prices
• Buckham Gallery retains a 35% commission on sold work
