About the role
We are expanding our team and looking for talented Ergonomics Specialists to support our North American businesses. In this role, you will provide technical ergonomics expertise by applying scientific techniques, standardized assessments, and problem-solving skills to drive innovative solutions that reduce MSD risk factors and optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage MSD risk in the NA Customer Fulfillment and Transportation organization.
- Support the Sr. Ergonomists within NA Ergonomics Engineering to optimize associate work environments through human-centered design.
- Apply a variety of ergonomic tools and methods to assess and quantify risk both pre and post-intervention.
- Use data analysis and assessment to develop practical recommendations for human-centric design.
- Support multi-disciplinary/multi-stakeholder projects that reduce musculoskeletal disorder risk factors and enhance human performance.
- Execute a systems approach that considers the broader context of the human in the environment.
- Use data to facilitate and drive business decisions.
- Identify key trends through deep dive analysis and establish testable project hypotheses.
- Support Sr. Ergonomists to analyze and evaluate data, conduct evaluations, and generate concepts, design specifications, and usability goals.
- Document analyses, recommendations, and results in white papers.
- Stay current on trends in technology, industry, and legislation that could necessitate adjustments or provide improvement to our ergonomic programs, and initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
- Demonstrated expertise applying ergonomic assessment methodologies.
- Strong understanding of biomechanical principles, occupational physiology, and human capabilities/limitations.
- Experience translating ergonomic assessment findings into engineering specifications and design requirements.
- Excellent technical writing skills with ability to create assessment reports, white papers, and technical documentation.
