ER & Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant - Relief

About the role

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Port Washington, WI is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency cases as they come in
• Absorb and go over estimates as needed
• Perform diagnostics (radiographs, labwork, etc)
• Set up patients in ICU or Inpatient ward
• Discharge patients
• Handle client communication

Qualifications

• Current veterinary assistant certification preferred
• Experience in a veterinary emergency or specialty setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of anesthesia/monitoring equipment
• Proficiency in CPR guidelines
