About the Role

The Tech works in a 48-bed, full-service Emergency Department, treating patients of all ages. This role involves assisting with the implementation of supportive clinical care, including strong clinical skills, clerical and courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKGs, phlebotomy, IVs, and specific patient care tasks. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Completion of one of the following (required):
    • Approved ENP-P or EMT-I course
    • Nursing Assistant course
    • Documented training and experience as an armed services medic/corpsman
    • Documentation of final year in an approved nursing program leading to RN
  • Vocational/Technical School/Diploma (preferred)
  • Associate’s degree or higher (not required)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • State of Florida EMT, EMT-P, CNA, or MA License (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
