ER TECH, Part Time
About the role
This ED Technician opportunity is part time, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule. We are looking for a dynamic individual that will assist with basic patient care needs based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the registered nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provides supportive care to the Emergency Dept patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
- Takes, documents, and reports vital signs.
- Reports abnormal results immediately to the registered nurse.
- Transports patients, as necessary to other departments and inpatient units.
- Affords assistance with moving, ambulating and lifting patients.
Requirements
- Current EMT or CNA Certification
- Current BLS Certification
- Prior experience in an acute care setting preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
