ER Tech
About the Role
The ER Tech, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe, and conducive to patient/family wellbeing, including concepts of relationship-based care.
Schedule
- Part-time or full-time positions available
- Night shift and part-time day shift options
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of previous direct care experience (acute or long-term care) or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course
- Student nurses must have completed the nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices, feeding, and menu selection
- Collect and send specimens, including blood and blood cultures
- Insert and remove peripheral IV catheters
- Record patient information and required data to meet documentation requirements

Trinity Health Livingston Hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) is a 24-hour, 365-days-a-year facility providing care for minor illnesses/injuries as well as major life-threatening, traumatic, medical, and surgical problems. Services include an award-winning emergency department, inpatient and outpatient surgery (including joint replacement), a variety of diagnostic and outpatient services, and over 300 physicians serving patients.
