About the Role
Under the supervision and/or direction of the Registered Nurse, the Emergency Technician performs various direct patient care activities in accordance with the Emergency Department policies and procedures. The Emergency Technician assists with the care of hospitalized patients and may be assigned other functions in accordance with hospital, department policies, procedures, and protocols.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Certification level courses (ACLS, BLS, NRP, etc.) as per department-specific competencies
- Successful completion of electrocardiographic monitoring program
- Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home patient care setting preferred
