Schedule

36 hours per week, 3 (12-hour) shifts
Choice of every 2nd or 3rd weekend
Holiday rotation

Responsibilities

Performs rapid and comprehensive assessments
Develops and implements emergency care plans
Delivers timely and effective interventions
Prepares patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, or transfer to higher levels of care
Evaluates patient responses and adjusts care
Facilitates communication and coordination
Demonstrates clinical competence in emergency nursing
Manages multiple patients and prioritizes care
Provides age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care
Ensures safety and compliance
Maintains professional standards and regulatory compliance

Requirements

Associate degree in nursing required (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
Current Iowa RN license; Illinois RN license required within one year
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three months of hire
High language proficiency, intermediate to high math skills, and high critical thinking ability
Basic computer skills
