ER RN - Emergency Registered Nurse

Join our dedicated team at a community-based, patient-focused critical access hospital where your skills truly make an impact. We’re looking for a Registered Nurse to work weekend night shifts in a unique role that offers variety and collaboration. As part of our close-knit team, you’ll work across multiple capacities while partnering closely with physicians and ancillary staff to deliver exceptional care to our community. This is an opportunity to practice broad-based nursing in a supportive environment where every shift brings new challenges and learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Performs Rapid and Comprehensive Assessments
- Develops and Implements Emergency Care Plans
- Delivers Timely and Effective Interventions
- Evaluates Patient Responses and Adjusts Care
- Facilitates Communication and Coordination with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Demonstrates Clinical Competence in Emergency Nursing
- Manages Multiple Patients and Prioritizes Care
- Provides Age-Appropriate and Culturally Sensitive Care
- Ensures Safety and Compliance
- Maintains Professional Standards and Regulatory Compliance
- Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, Emergency Room Techs, and other ED team members
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Illinois (IL) RN license
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities
Schedule
- Night shift, 36 hours per week
- Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (48/52 weekends per year)
- Weekend package with additional compensation for weekends
- Night shift differential plus regular weekend differential
Pay
Pay Range: $32.74 - $49.11 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
