Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care as an ER Registered Nurse during emergencies.
  • Perform rapid triage to prioritize patients by acuity and need.
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in EHR.
  • Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocol.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards in all actions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and allied health teams to develop care plans.
  • Maintain situational awareness of patient status to ensure timely interventions.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current with evidence-based ER practices.
  • Meet defined performance targets and contribute to pipeline-based success metrics.
  • Document and communicate patient progress to the on-site team during shift handoffs.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
  • Participate in on-site drills and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Valid RN license in the applicable state or region.
  • Active ACLS certification and PALS as applicable for ER settings.
  • Minimum 2 years ER or acute care nursing experience.
  • Strong triage skills with ability to prioritize acuity quickly.
  • Infection control adherence and universal precautions.
  • Proficiency with EHR documentation and incident reporting.
  • Medication administration and monitoring per ER protocols.
  • Ability to collaborate with physicians, techs, and allied health staff.
  • Excellent communication for shift handoffs and patient progress updates.
  • Willingness to participate in drills, QA initiatives, and continuous learning.

Qualifications
