Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care as an ER Registered Nurse during emergencies.
- Perform rapid triage to prioritize patients by acuity and need.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in EHR.
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocol.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards in all actions.
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health teams to develop care plans.
- Maintain situational awareness of patient status to ensure timely interventions.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay current with evidence-based ER practices.
- Meet defined performance targets and contribute to pipeline-based success metrics.
- Document and communicate patient progress to the on-site team during shift handoffs.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
- Participate in on-site drills and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the applicable state or region.
- Active ACLS certification and PALS as applicable for ER settings.
- Minimum 2 years ER or acute care nursing experience.
- Strong triage skills with ability to prioritize acuity quickly.
- Infection control adherence and universal precautions.
- Proficiency with EHR documentation and incident reporting.
- Medication administration and monitoring per ER protocols.
- Ability to collaborate with physicians, techs, and allied health staff.
- Excellent communication for shift handoffs and patient progress updates.
- Willingness to participate in drills, QA initiatives, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
