ER Attendant III Paramedic, Marshall Medical Centers North, ER, Full time, 2nd Shift
About the role
The Pre-hospital EMS Transport Liaison / ED Paramedic assists Emergency Department staff in the intake, triage and transitional care of patients arriving by ambulance, particularly in situations involving ED patient overload.
Responsibilities
- Provide competent patient care under the direction of the Emergency Department Charge Nurse, RNs and ED Physicians.
- Adhere to institutional/departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide multi-functional assistance to ED staff and Physicians as necessary during intervals when intake and transitional attendance of EMS patients is not immediately required.
- Complete any and all required departmental orientation, education and competencies in accordance with established policies.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an ADPH approved EMS Program
- Licensure by the ADPH as a Paramedic
- Maintain ADPH Credentialing
- Maintain ACLS, PALS, ITLS/PHTLS and CPR
- Minimum 1 year Paramedic experience on ALS transport service and/or ED Paramedic experience
