About the role
The Multiskilled Technician is a nursing support role. Tasks may include an assignment as unit secretary which serves as part of the healthcare team, assisting in the planning, organization, and implementation of the activities occurring at the nursing stations by performing clerical duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the planning, organization, and implementation of the activities occurring at the nursing stations by performing clerical duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.
- Additional assignment may include ED Technician, assisting in ED flow and patient care under direction of the ED physician or nurse.
- Performs tasks such as obtaining EKGs, obtaining vital signs, transporting patients, and collecting and transporting lab specimens (with competency).
Qualifications
- Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (preferred), MOAB or equivalent (preferred)
