Responsibilities
- Track industry trends, news, and market-moving events across the Internet landscape
- Produce differentiated research reports, including initiations of coverage, leveraging SEC filings, company transcripts, AI tools and proprietary data sources
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and proprietary sector databases
- Execute primary research through industry contacts, channel checks, and expert networks
- Generate and pursue original, high-conviction investment ideas
- Prepare compelling presentations and marketing materials for investor and internal meetings
- Engage directly with institutional clients and Wedbush's institutional sales force on research findings and inbound requests
- Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; Business, Finance, or quantitative discipline preferred
- 1+ years of Equity Research experience with a demonstrated track record
- Will require obtaining FINRA 87, 86 and Securities Industry Essentials (when SIE is required) licenses
- Deep accounting knowledge and strong command of valuation techniques
- Critical thinking and ability to synthesize complex data into clear investment theses
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong experience with AI tools to increase productivity
- Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize competing deadlines, and multi-task effectively
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Genuine passion for the markets

Pay
The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance.
