About the role
We are seeking an Equity Research Associate (RA) to join our Global Industry Research Industrials Team in Boston. In this role, you’ll work closely with a senior Global Industry Analyst to support coverage of diversified Industrials.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the integrity of industry and comparative valuation models
- Performing continuous due diligence on industrials companies spanning the breadth of the sector
- Building and maintaining company financial models on prospective investments
- Completing complex analytical projects under tight time constraints
- Staying abreast of relevant company and industry materials and communications
- Working to identify emerging research trends and novel and investable developments
- Maintain risk models for long-only and long/short portfolios

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of previous investment experience, ideally within a Long/Short (L/S) framework
- An understanding of risk and risk-based tools beneficial
- Experience covering the industrials sector in sell-side equity research, investment banking, private equity, or buy-side roles
- Financial modeling ability
- Aptitude for building investment science skill set through interest in the intersection of science and investing
- Strong data and technology skills, including experience using platforms and tools to screen, rank, and manage large stock universes
- Sound judgment, strong work ethic and highest personal and professional integrity
- Demonstrated analytical ability
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the face of uncertainty
- Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize time well
- Strict attention to detail
- Effective communications skills, both written and verbal
- Superior academic credentials and track record, an undergraduate degree is required; progress with CFA/CAIA levels is additive
Benefits
- Base salary range: USD 90,000 - 180,000
