Equity Research Analyst | Remote

Contract, remote position.

Pay

$175 – $300 per hour.

Schedule

10–40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and contribute to datasets modeling real‑world equity research analysis, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Analyze earnings reports, perform estimate revisions, and synthesize peer‑benchmarking insights for AI training purposes.
• Deliver detailed written evaluations of company models, including revenue, margin, cash flow, and valuation drivers.
• Produce high‑quality, concise written research summaries and event‑driven updates based on deep sector expertise.
• Develop and articulate investment theses, connecting qualitative and quantitative factors to actionable perspectives.
• Identify key industry trends, sector‑specific metrics, and company catalysts relevant for fundamental analysis.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to provide feedback on data quality and enhance research‑related content.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a sell‑side Research Associate with direct ownership of company models and written research, or as a publishing/lead Research Analyst.
• Track record of independently covering multiple companies through several earnings cycles and maintaining comprehensive models.
• Proven ability to connect business drivers to financial outcomes and valuation.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one sector (e.g., banks, insurance, biotech), with the ability to provide deep, specialist insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial concepts clearly.
• History of performing granular earnings analysis, peer benchmarking, valuation, and event‑driven research updates.
• Experience formulating and defending investment theses and research views, with accountability for research accuracy and quality.
