Equity and Executive Compensation Director

What You Will Do

• Design and analyze executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term equity.
• Deliver equity programs end-to-end, including grant processes (RSUs, PSUs), performance tracking, and budget management.
• Administer executive compensation plans.
• Conduct benchmarking, modeling, and market analysis to assess competitiveness of equity pay programs.
• Translate complex data into clear insights to support compensation decisions and pay-for-performance alignment.
• Support the Board and Compensation Committee, preparing and coordinating quarterly materials in partnership with external consultants, the Director of Compensation, and VP Total Rewards and Legal.
• Manage timelines, data inputs, and stakeholder alignment for Compensation Committee deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.
• Support executive compensation disclosures, including proxy materials and internal reporting.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, and external advisors on governance and risk management.
• Partner with Compensation Operations to execute compensation processes accurately and at scale.
• Maintain data integrity across systems, models, and reports.
• Support audits, documentation, and continuous improvement of compensation programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and senior stakeholders.
• Communicate complex compensation topics clearly and effectively.

Compensation

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is $118,000—$231,000 USD. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location.
