About the role
The main purpose of this role is to conduct in-depth fundamental equity research on industries, companies and individual equities to make buy/sell recommendations; then clearly communicate research to investment team.
Responsibilities
- Provide fundamental research on industries, companies, and their publicly traded securities
- Provide valuation analysis leading to recommendation of investment actions
- Present investment recommendations and associated research to the investment team in a clear concise manner
- Maintain relationships with sell-side analysts and industry contacts to strengthen research insight and idea generation
- Monitor market, economic, policy, and company-specific developments and assess their impact on portfolio positioning and risk
- Analyze portfolio holdings, attribution, and relative performance to identify trade opportunities, risks, and associated actions
- Prepare clear written communication and present complex investment theses to a wide variety of audiences
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of equity markets, portfolio construction, valuation methods, and fundamental equity research
- Ability to explain complex investment ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across investment teams
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Qualifications
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field required; MBA or other advanced study preferred
- 5+ years of experience in equity research, portfolio management, or investment analysis required
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred

Pay
Annual Salary: $137,000.00 - $187,500.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
