Equity Actor - New Plays (Chautauqua Theater Company)/Seasonal Employment

About the role

Bring to life new characters written by contemporary playwrights as part of CTC’s New Play Workshop series (one week commitment).

Responsibilities

• Act as part of CTC’s New Play Workshop series
• Work within the guidelines set by Actors’ Equity Association for the URTA agreement
• Follow the guidelines of the CDC, IATSE, USA, and SDC

Requirements

• Must have received an official offer from CTC’s Managing Director
• Compensation: $726/week for a one week commitment starting either June 29, July 27, or Aug 10, 2026
• Health and pension contributions provided by CTC
• Housing and travel covered by CTC, as per the URTA contract

Qualifications

• Experience in acting
• Knowledge of Actors’ Equity Safety Guidelines

Skills

• Strong acting skills
• Ability to work under the guidelines of Actors’ Equity Association for the URTA agreement

Schedule

Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as a requirement. This position offers employer-provided housing and parking. Housing includes a private bedroom and shared living space. Residency is for one week.
