Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical training on Company equipment.
- Promote, and develop necessary, safe behaviors, work practices and work environments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Support continuing development of Equinox Gold’s safety culture.
- Act as a resource to fulfill training needs and assist other department personnel with training responsibilities.
- Attend safety meetings providing employees with updates of training and activities.
- Track and record training activities.
- Perform inspections on all equipment as needed to ensure operating and maintenance standards are being met.
- Aid equipment operators and maintenance personnel when needed.
- Operate equipment as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
- Excellent attitude towards safety
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Working knowledge of mine operations equipment fleets including operating and maintaining such equipment
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- 3-5 years of heavy equipment experience
- Training experience, preferred
- Certifications: MSHA Part 48, preferred
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- While performing job responsibilities, employees must be able to communicate effectively and maintain situational awareness in an active mining environment.
- Physical activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or working on uneven surfaces.
- Use of hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, controls, or computer systems is required.

Pay Range
The hourly range for this position is from $33.22 to $44.42, based on experience.
