Responsibilities
- Organizes, tracks, stocks, and maintains supplies and equipment throughout the hospitals and pavilion.
- Monitors or provides cleaning of medical equipment and prepares it for use.
- Organizes supply rooms and maintains supplies to meet and maintain agreed-upon par levels.
- Maintains equipment to ensure proper operating efficiency, assessing need for repair, replacement, or routine preventative maintenance.
- Maintains crash carts by restocking and removing expired supplies.
- Coordinates repair and maintenance schedules with in-house departments, outside contractors, and/or vendors to ensure equipment availability.
- Monitors equipment performance for higher-than-average failure rates or other trends.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and detailed logs on the status of equipment and/or quality controls.
- Assists other personnel in achieving competency in equipment utilization.
- Complies with OSHA guidelines and universal precautions, taking initiative to stay aware of changes in guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Minimum 6 months of related experience (Less than 1 year required, preferred).
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements (Preferred).
