Equipment Technician Diffusion Furnace

Responsibilities

• Monitor, control, and qualify state-of-the-art 300 mm diffusion furnace semiconductor equipment.
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, preventive maintenance activities.
• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment.
• Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions, including defect troubleshooting.
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, visual inspections (quality checks).
• Recover from process and tool interruptions.
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost.
• Complete all required reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
• Physical Capacity Demands: Able to perform shift work on a 12-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment per the semiconductor industry and Onsemi protocol/requirements. Able to wear all required clean room & safety protective clothing and equipment throughout a 12-hour day (excluding breaks). Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift (preventive maintenance and/or process issues). Able to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks).

About the Role

Onsemi EFK is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in East Fishkill, New York. Equipment/Maintenance Technicians sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. Technician positions are shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. Onsemi is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts.

Benefits

The first payment is payable within the first 30 days of you joining onsemi and quarterly thereafter for 3 additional payments. You must be an active employee with onsemi to receive these sign-on awards. In addition, if your employment is terminated with onsemi for any reason, the sign-on award(s) received as of the date of your termination do not need to be repaid to onsemi.

D1 Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
