Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with engineering team members as well as union trades and operators to address equipment breakdowns.
- Interact with vendors and plant contacts to purchase equipment for repair-related items.
- Interpret high-level technical documentation including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics.
- Execute simple equipment repair or improvement projects on a wide variety of plant equipment including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and other general facility-related equipment.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in a mechanical or related field.
- Experience instead of education is an option for this position.
- Minimum 5 Years Of Mechanical, Hands-on Experience
- Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply across a wide range of applications.
- High level of organization
Desired Education and Experience
- Experience with AutoCad, Solidworks, or similar CAD software
- Experience with MS Office, Project & SharePoint
US Citizenship required (This is supporting DoD / ITAR project and site)
