Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of problem solving, fault finding, and analysis using a range of standard practices and techniques.
- Possesses a working knowledge of job specific technical theory and practices, basic knowledge of general theory and analysis techniques.
- Reads and understands electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facilities schematics.
- Repairs electronic circuitry to the board level.
- Understands and is technically capable using various types of commercial and vendor proprietary software in the process of repairing production equipment.
- Maintains hazardous and inert gas handling systems to include cylinder changes.
- Orders parts and materials that are required to complete assigned tasks.
- Works with minimal supervision on routine tasks.
- Helps to train fellow technicians on tasks they are certified to do.
- Has a basic understanding of chemistry and the hazards of working with and around chemicals.
- Occasionally lifts objects up to 70 pounds.
- Repairs and maintains chemical and solvent handling equipment.
- Repairs and calibrates process equipment requiring high vacuum equipment and associated support systems.
- Assists the Equipment Engineers and Senior Equipment Maintenance Technicians.
- Responsible for spare and repair parts ordering.
- Performs daily checks and inspections.
- Member of Emergency Response team, which responds to facility emergencies such as, hazardous chemical spills, fire, and injury to personnel.
Education & Experience
- AE and 1 - 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
- Equivalent Military experience will also be considered.
- Prefers 2+ years working experience in the semi-conductor industry.
- Training in the handling of hazardous chemicals, gases, and materials.
ITAR/EAR And Other Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual).
Skills
- General knowledge and hands-on experience in the procurement, installation, networking, startup, operation and maintenance of electronic instruments, I/O subsystems, controllers, and computers in an electronic or optical materials environment.
- Demonstrated capability to solve problems that occur during the development of new equipment and procedures.
- Commitment to developing and maintaining ISO-9000 compliant activities.
- Ability to work with employees and within organizational disciplines when quality issues must be addressed and resolved.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities.
- Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment.
- Handle special assignments promptly and professionally.
