Equipment Technician

About the role

Supports fieldwork activities by ensuring that the testing equipment is maintained, calibrated, and in good working order for AST offices. Troubleshoots and repairs Alliance-owned equipment, including meterboxes, pumps, sample umbilicals, heat controllers, probes, etc.; troubleshoots and repairs equipment to be used in the field for technicians to perform environmental testing. Maintains the organization of the shop and manages consumable equipment and calibration gas stocks.

Responsibilities

• Assists in staging/loading/unloading of sampling equipment for field projects with Project Manager (PM) and Operations Manager (OM) oversight
• Sampling glassware cleaning, preparation and maintenance
• Performs basic electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of sampling equipment; including filling out the forms to send them back to the manufacturer and answering inquiries regarding the repair status of the equipment
