About the role

Responsible for preventative and reparative maintenance of equipment, processes, and/or electronics in the Production and R&D Departments. Prepares and maintains appropriate documentation in RAM, Agile, and Track-It. Performs equipment, process, and/or electronics project work and validations as assigned. Follows Good Manufacturing Protocols (GMP) and is flexible to work any shift, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive and reparative maintenance on Production, Manufacturing, and R&D equipment and fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain automated production/process equipment, including PLC, robotics (6-axis and pick-and-place robots), pneumatic systems, hydraulic/fluidics systems, electro/mechanical systems, packaging equipment, resistance/ultrasonic welders, and heat stakers.
  • Perform equipment moves and setups.
  • Maintain and write Equipment Binders (EB), PM/CM documents, pass-downs, Track-It work orders, and perform IQ/OQs and equipment validations.
  • Help maintain spare part inventories.
  • Use hand and power tools, multimeters, amp meters, manufacturing test equipment, and calipers.
  • Perform equipment activities in equipment development under the supervision of a project engineer, including assembly, testing, engineering studies, and validations.
  • Follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) program.
  • Perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
  • Support engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, or specialized test equipment.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
  • Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
  • Assist in the design, construction, test, and checkout of test equipment.
  • Use manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of related experience.
  • High School diploma/certificate or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school with equipment, processes, and/or electronics-related curriculum preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • General computer skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
  • Ability to write routine reports, pass-downs, and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers, and managers.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schematic, blueprint, equipment drawing, or schedule form.

Pay

$27.40 - $41.15 per hour

Schedule

  • Flexible to work any shift, including weekends.
  • Travel required for training, development, and cross-site assistance (15-25%).
