About the Role

This position is responsible for preventative and reparative maintenance of manufacturing equipment, processes, and electronics in the Production and R&D departments. The role involves working with equipment ranging from standard laboratory tools to full automation, maintaining documentation, supporting FDA and process protocols, and contributing to equipment projects. The role adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and supports engineering activities such as design, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of electromechanical systems, experimental circuitry, and specialized test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive and reparative maintenance on Production, Manufacturing, and R&D equipment.
  • Maintain fixtures, modules, and tooling.
  • Prepare and update Equipment Binders (EB), maintenance documents, and perform Installation Qualifications (IQ).
  • Support FDA and process protocols, including updating equipment files and documentation databases.
  • Assist in maintaining replacement parts and work with engineering and manufacturers to ensure equipment safety and functionality.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on automated systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Use hand and power tools, multimeters, amp meters, manufacturer test equipment, and calipers.
  • Assist in equipment development activities, including assembly, testing, engineering studies, and validations with minimal supervision.
  • Follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) program.
  • Work any shift as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with PLC and automated production/process equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, electro/mechanical systems, resistance welders, and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventive and reparative maintenance on production, manufacturing, and R&D equipment.
  • Experience maintaining fixtures, modules, and tooling.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing automated systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform equipment development activities (assembly, testing, engineering studies) with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with schematics, diagrams, and written/verbal instructions for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using manufacturing, test, or diagnostic equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, signal generators).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree (A.A.) or technical school certificate preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and general computer skills.
  • Equipment and maintenance experience, including assembly and shop skills.
  • Experience maintaining high-volume manufacturing equipment in an FDA-regulated environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of controls and PLC systems is desirable.

Pay

$24.90 - $37.30 per hour.

Schedule

  • Required to work any shift.
  • Travel for training, development, or cross-site assistance: 15-25%.
