About the role
The Equipment Technician is responsible for safely cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment and maintaining appropriate par levels for each department.
Responsibilities
- Walk and/or stand for long periods of time
- Answer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff
- Appropriately clean and disinfect medical equipment using the approved disinfectant
- Able to read par sheets and inventory levels
- Adhere to hospital policies and infection control processes
- Obtain supplies via Stock Acquisition Process
- Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
- Operate pushcart for transporting equipment
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Stop at-risk behavior of others and self
- Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Maintain clean work area
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
- Take direction and respond to supervision
- Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
- Fill in during staff shortage
- Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
- Use proper personal protective equipment
- Present a professional appearance and conduct
- Understand customer service and satisfaction
- Understand reporting systems and the environment
Requirements
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and safely
- Ability to read inventory forms
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
Qualifications
- No specific education requirements
- Completed all safety and task training certification
Schedule
Sunday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (off Friday/Saturday)
Pay
$15.00 – $16.00 per hour
