Equipment Tech - Aggregates

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Tech based out of our Eaves Loop mine Merryville, LA. This role is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and general mechanical work to support the safe and reliable operation of plant and mobile equipment. Day to Day Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognitionComply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.Perform housekeeping around the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environmentKnowledge of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenanceMechanical knowledge of mining equipment including conveyors, screening plants, dredges, mobile equipment, etc. (preferred, not required)Additional skills and experience including welding, cutting, fabrication, etc (required)Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performanceMaintain strong communications with other plant employees and operatorsPerform other duties or responsibilities as assigned About You Prompt, regular, and predictable attendancePositive, Team-based attitudeThe ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)High School Diploma or GED equivalentMin 2 years’ experience Working Conditions Responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
