Equipment Superintendent, Crane Operations 1

About the role

Kiewit Fleet Services (KFS) is seeking an Equipment Superintendent to support Regional Crane and Marine operations and maintenance. KFS helps ensure the profitability of Kiewit projects through improved equipment utilization and mechanical reliability by delivering world-class equipment and service. The position is responsible for the planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization, and reliability of the Crane and Marine equipment fleet. Kiewit Equipment Services (KES) similarly ensures profitability through improved equipment utilization and mechanical reliability. The role is based in Seattle, WA, with willingness to travel and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and management of equipment maintenance and readiness to meet specific project needs
• Ensure project safety and quality performance through personal example as well as supervision activities
• Work within company data systems to record and track equipment maintenance and utilization

Requirements

• Fast-paced office and project field environment
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management while managing a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively
• Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen
• Occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy construction equipment maintenance, repair, and utilization
• Heavy Crane and Marine specific experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of district and project management, staff, and craft
• Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Experience in and/or ability to use equipment database-related technology
• Willingness and ability to travel in the U.S. and internationally as required
• Willingness and ability to work in both office and field environments
