Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain accurate rental contracts and documentation in the computer system.
- Cook up rental reservations, scheduling, dispatching, deliveries, pickups, and returns.
- Track and manage rental inventory, equipment availability, asset utilization, and equipment status in real time.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and proper documentation standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by reporting process gaps, customer insights, and operational efficiencies.
- Partner closely with service, yard, and delivery teams to ensure equipment is prepared, maintained, and delivered on time.
- Support outside sales by coordinating customer needs, providing product information, and facilitating smooth handoffs.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license required.
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, rental operations, administrative support, or a related field.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn rental management software systems.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
What Sets You Apart
- Prior experience in equipment rental, construction, or logistics with a sales or customer service focus preferred.
- Experience using rental management or ERP systems (e.g., Point of Rental) preferred.
- Experience in dispatching, scheduling, or logistics coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations related to equipment delivery and transport.
- Experience in sales support or inside sales, ideally within a business-to-business environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced service, rental, or operations environment.
- Knowledge of common construction and material-handling equipment, including specifications, attachments, and safe-use guidelines.
