Equipment Programmer 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

  • Create drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Develop and revise software programs that allow the equipment to operate and perform specific movements for that individual process
  • Program Amada EMK, Amada Pega, the new Amada 6k Fiber Laser, Standard & Niagara Press Brakes, RAS MiniBender, Schechtl & Schroder Folders, and Orion Cobot
  • Understand what is required from our customers and translate that information into a fully executable software program and relatable equipment
  • Responsible for launching new products into production which may include developing new tooling and programming
  • Conduct trial or simulations of those programs on the actual equipment including set up, run times and quality assurance of the part
  • Train Manufacturing Team Members & Supervision on new operator controls or software upgrades and overall operation of equipment
  • Ensure quality assurance of all custom components meeting customers' requirements
  • Work with outside Suppliers and Technicians to troubleshoot Equipment
  • Maintain inventory for the Amada EMK, Amada Pega, Standard & Niagara Press Brakes, RAS MiniBender, and Schechtl & Schroder Folders
  • Maintain electronic folders including programs and details of parts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior Manufacturing Experience
  • Experience in Profit /IFS (Preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly in Excel
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Strong in CAD/CAM Software, Specifically AutoCAD & SolidWorks
  • Experience running Automated Equipment & Bending Equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting - Up to 25 lbs.
  • Standing - Off and on throughout the day
  • Walking - Off and on throughout the day
  • Body positions - Stooping, bending, sitting on and off throughout the day
  • Grasping - Occasionally
  • Sitting - Occasionally
  • Pushing - Occasionally
  • Pulling - Occasionally
  • Climbing - Occasionally
  • Mathematical Skills - Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and changing fractions into decimals
  • Reading Instruments - Tape measure, caliper and micrometer accurately
  • Mechanically Inclined

  • Manufacturing facility -- exposed to heat and cold
  • Office environment
  • Noise controlled environment
  • Activity level is high -- continuous overhead crane and forklift operation
