Equipment Operator - Utility
About the role
Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, seeks a Front-End Loader Operator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will work closely with laborers to complete various tasks efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to transport materials
- Follow daily job specifications communicated by the Site Foreman
- Ensure equipment is in good working condition through daily pre-start procedures
- Communicate effectively with the Site Foreman about job progress and challenges
- Perform physical labor tasks as needed, including shoveling
- Assist with laborer duties as required
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and physical exam
- Willingness to work long hours and in a team environment
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professional and courteous attitude towards colleagues, supervisors, and the public
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and technologies
Skills
- Proficiency in operating various types of heavy equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and stress tolerance
