Equipment Operator

Primary Responsibilities

• Operates the equipment as needed in support of concrete crew activities across the Front Range on various Federal installations and facilities.
• Affords assistance to crews to the extent possible when there is machine downtime.
• Engages in fine grade, compaction, concrete demolition, and other related activities.
• Participates in surveying, laying out, measuring, planning, and executing work activities.
• Maintains and keeps equipment up to date and in good working order.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Security Clearance N/A.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; operating vehicles and some equipment; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; balancing; stooping; kneeling; talking or hearing; tasting or smelling; lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds for 50 feet; ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of a construction project; ability to climb ladders for heights up to 60 feet and crawl for distances of 50 feet.

• Ability to operate skid steer, backhoe, mini-excavator, loader, trencher, etc.

• Driving may be necessary.
