This position will be located in Waxahachie, Denton, and Irving, Texas, with travel required in Texas and Oklahoma.
About the Role
P&K Stone LLC is seeking a Loader Operator to join our team. The Loader Operator is responsible for the operation of heavy mobile equipment, including but not limited to front-end loaders, dozers, excavators, and skid steer loaders.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily or pre-shift inspections on equipment and operate it safely.
- Operate all mobile and heavy-duty equipment on site (e.g., dozers, loaders).
- Perform clean-up work to maintain tools, equipment, and working areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Comply with company, MSHA, and plant safety rules and regulations.
- Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform other related duties such as maintenance/repair and yard loading as needed.
- Understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form.
- Recognize potentially hazardous situations.
- Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards.
- Communicate with others via a two-way radio.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operating heavy equipment.
- Work weeks may exceed 40 hours.
- Ability to complete pre-shift inspection reports.
- Flexibility with scheduling, overtime, and weekends.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to wear all required safety equipment.
- Ability to perform duties in a safe manner.
- Ability to read and interpret gauges.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Driver’s License (preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Willingness to handle continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
- Ability to perform job functions including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls.
- Exerting up to 100 pounds of force.
- Regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with employees/visitors and function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
- Job involves sitting most of the time but also requires walking or standing for brief periods.
Pay
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
