Equipment Operator l 3rd shift

The Role

This position will report to the: Supervisor

Location: Bakersfield, CA
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Shift: 3rd shift (10pm-630am)

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of the Beverage Plant
• Cooking and preparing ingredients for daily processing
• Monitor and log equipment values and parameters
• Unload and prepare ingredients for daily processing
• Complete changeovers, CIP’s, PMs, clean and sanitize tools/equipment as directed
• Identify faults and troubleshoot equipment as required
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations
• Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment
• Maintain activity logs
• Train new personnel on proper operational procedures
• Supports food safety, legality, and quality programs
• Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment, etc.)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven, reliable work history
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision
• Must be able to work as a team and follow instructions
• Proven experience operating machinery
• Mechanical knowledge of automated machines and tools
• Experience conducting quality tests and analyzing data
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time
• Must be able to work in freezer and cold, wet or humid conditions
