Equipment Operator
Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders) safely and efficiently for earthwork, demolition, and grading projects.
- Perform daily safety inspections and routine maintenance checks on assigned equipment.
- Ensure equipment is properly secured and stored after use.
- Adhere to all workplace safety standards and wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Skills/Experience
- Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold).
- Willingness to complete required training, work variable shifts (including weekends and holidays), and travel extensively.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- Finish grade/top hat operator experience.
