Responsibilities
Takes explicit direction from departmental supervision and performs duties according to established policies, procedures, and routines. Operates and maintains heavy and light machinery such as vehicles, chippers, loaders, backhoes, hot mix pavers, rollers, crack sealers, concrete saws, and screens. Maintains equipment in safe and effective condition, reports unsafe or inoperable equipment, cleans and stores vehicles, and responds to temporary assignments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL within 6 months of hire date (depending on assignment)
Qualifications
No formal education required. No prior work experience required. Must be able to understand verbal and written work instructions and safely operate and maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools.
