Equipment Operator

About the Role

Drive and operate heavy equipment. Assume responsibility for proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Perform pre and post safety checklists. Observe and obey all traffic laws in the operation of assigned company vehicle. This position will perform other field related functions as assigned by superintendent or foreman.

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders, excavators, dozer (material handling/grading)
• Experience with hydraulic sheers, screeners and hoe-rams
• Maintaining and operating various types of heavy construction and demolition equipment such as dozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, rollers/compactors, trenchers, trucks/tractor forklifts in a safe and efficient manner and adjust equipment as necessary
• May assist other craft workers

Qualifications

• Must have current Operators License
• Clean driving record
• 5 years of general civil construction experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess valid driver's license
• Must be able to physically navigate construction sites
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
